Oracle’s Open-Source Shopping Spree
Published by peter February 10th, 2006 in java.Rumors about oracle buying JBoss are all over the place… since lot’s of the projects we do are based on JBoss technology it would be interesting to see this happening. With Oracle funding JBoss could really take on Beas’ WebLogic!
Apart from JBoss Oracle seems to be interested in buying Zend (PHP) and Sleepycat (BDB)!
Of coarse spokespeople for Oracle, JBoss, Zend, and Sleepycat all declined to comment…
But we’ll see what the future brings!
